I've been dealing with some form of dermatitis / eczema on my face for several months, and while this has not gotten rid of the problem on its own, it has helped immensely by stopping any itching and drying out / flaking while I'm going through a flare up. I could dab a small amount onto my skin and it would soothe my itchy skin in a matter of seconds and last for hours. Totally saved my sanity! I've also suffered from very chapped lips my whole life and this is the only thing that's been able to actually put moisture back into my lips and allow them to heal. A little goes a long way, I'm able to use just a few drops to moisturize my eyelids, lips and even some parts of my scalp that tend to be dry. I do put on a layer of occlusive cream over the top of my eyelids and lips to keep the hydration in. I don't have any problem with the smell- it's not offensive to me, just smells slightly botanical.

I chose to purchase this aloe vera gel because it is labeled organic with the .05 exception for the preservative because I am not a fan of other organic aloe brands choosing seaweed extract as their organic preservative which is also a frequently discussed hot topic in the cosmetic biz. I have to honestly say that I love this product without any doubt. I use it first and layer my moisturizer and sunblock over it. At night when I use my serums after my weekly exfoliation, my skin may go a little red, but customers you need to understand that this product has vitamin C in it and aloe vera is also an enzyme. Skin is like a shallow pond and when you mess with it, you create ripples on the surface and it takes a moment to smooth the effect. That is how skin is. I would recommend this product to anyone truly because of the multiple healing effects, vitamin and moisture boost to the skin and to help create a healthier complexion that reflects inner beauty and confidence. I also recommend that everyone also use a pH balanced cleanser and SPF 30+ sunscreen in conjunction with their regimen.
